It's a ...

GIRL!!!!! We found out on Thursday that we're having a little girl. It literally took the ultrasound tech 5 seconds to say it was a girl. I asked her how sure she was and she said there was no doubt about it!

I think Matt and I have both been amazed at how much more real it seems now that we can really start planning, fighting over a name :-) and getting her room ready. We of course agreed on a boys name, but not a girls!

I also felt her really kick me Friday afternoon! She decides to just rest when Matt is around so he hasn't been able to feel it yet. Hopefully soon, though!

Car accident

I know this is out of order, but here are a few pictures of my car after the accident on August 24th. This was the first week of school and the baby was 9 weeks. Thankfully I was not hurt worse than I was. It's now been almost 2 months and part of my leg is still numb, but everything else has healed up pretty well. It was really scary, but we know someone was watching over us that rainy morning.

16 Week Belly Pics

Here is my 16 week belly pic. I can't believe how big I am getting already. Please excuse the look on my face this was at 7:30 am. I think I have started to feel the baby move some, although it's just little pop corn popping feeling. I haven't felt any big kicks or anything yet.

14 Week Ultrasound Pics

One of the teachers at school heard about a clinic that had techs who needed pregnant women to come in so that they could practice doing ultrasounds. Of course I called and was lucky enough to be able to go in! There were 3 ladies who all took turns doing the scan so I got to see the baby for a really long time. The silly thing was moving around the ENTIRE time! One time when I started laughing its legs started kicking and it waved right before they turned off the machine. In fact, it was moving so much that none of the ladies could get a good measurement of the head size.

I told them that this was definitely Matt's child!! I just hope this isn't a sign of things to come...

Baby's first picture

Here is the very first ultrasound picture. The baby is that teeny tiny little dot next to the arrow! It's so amazing that the dot turns into a little person. This was around 5 weeks.

Baby!!!

Matt and I are so excited to be expecting a baby on April 1st! We have had several ultrasounds and heard the heartbeat many times. I think we're finally starting to relax and enjoy the pregnancy. Especially now that I'm starting to feel better!

I hope that this blog will help to keep our family and friends who are far away in the loop of our lives and the baby's. I'll be posting some ultrasound and belly pics soon!
