First of all a cute picture of Kaitlynn hanging out on the couch the other morning with her bear blanket from aunt Diane...

Here she is snoozin' away earlier this week...

Here she is half way rolled over in her crib. This is a new issue. While we are thrilled that she is learning to roll from her stomach to her back it is beginning to be a problem at night. She will only sleep on her stomach and so if she starts to wake up and fuss she scoots around the crib. Now she will end up rolling over onto her back. She HATES being on her back so she will lay there until we come and get her back to sleep.
We have GREAT NEWS!!! We took Kaitlynn to the dreaded cardiologist at Children's Mercy today and found out that her heart is perfectly normal and we won't ever have to go back again. YEAH!! We are so relieved that she is fine and also that we can now save over $400 a month on health insurance since she was denied because of her irregular heartbeat.
She was so good considering we were there for almost 3 hours. She just smiled and "talked" to Matt while we waited to go back to our room. Then she snuggled up to me after she got weighed, measured and put on her cute little gown. I'm so bummed I forgot to bring the camera. She was sleeping when the nurse came to do her EKG so she just let me hold her while she put all the little sticky probes on her. She didn't even hardly wake up during the whole thing! Then we went down the hall to have another ultrasound done on her heart. She was awake then but just laid on the table like a big girl!
Neither Matt or I were looking forward to seeing the cardiologist since we had such a bad experience with her the last time we were there. We were happy to find out that a resident doctor checked her out at first. He was wonderful! It was funny because he kept asking us all of these questions and ALL of our answers were...no, no, no! He kept rereading her records, etc. and I could tell he was thinking "Why are they even here?" Finally he asked me what led us to them in the first place and I gave him a quick run down. He later said "So...if this would have been 40 years ago we would have had NO idea that she even had an issue right after she was born" That pretty much sums it up since you would have no clue that anything was wrong with her. He told us that he thought she looked fine and then the cardiologist came in and double checked everything and then gave us the great news that she is perfectly normal and she grew out of her heart issue!!
We are so thankful and feel so blessed to have our beautiful, healthy precious miracle in our lives. Last week Dana, Courtney, Lindsey, Kaitlynn and I all met at Panera for lunch. The girls did great and had fun playing with their identical frog toys!

Kaitlynn with her "aunt" Lindsey

Dana and Courtney...check out that cute bee on her butt!
*Last Thursday we had a play date with some of the teachers from my school. Kristi's son, Drake is about 2 weeks younger then Kaitlynn. We decided to lay them down beside each other to see what they would do...

She's thinking...Ummm I think my daddy told me to not lay by boys

"Well...maybe boys really aren't that bad!"

Here's Drake making his move to hold her hand!

Kaitlynn says "Hey! Get away from me...my daddy said I can't hold a boys hand until I'm 30!"
