We love Fall!!

We now have 2 teeth at the Sewing household. It's been a tough couple of weeks but the 2 bottom teeth have finally come through. She's been acting a little more like herself the last day or two except for the cold we keep passing around our house.

Last weekend Kaitlynn and I went to the pumpkin patch with Jo, Jarred, Emma, Michael, Jennifer, Alex and Nicholas. It was a little chilly but the kids had a great time! Kaitlynn loved watching everyone and everything. She cooed the whole time we were on the hay ride!

Here's Emma saying cheese!
I tried to do my own little photo shoot out by our front tree the other day but it didn't last long. As soon as I sat her down she was immediately chewing on the stem of a pumpkin. Once I pried that out of her mouth then she leaned down and grabbed not one but 2 hand fulls of grass. You can guess where that went. Yes...her mouth! You can see some of the grass in the picture above. Then I had that under control and a stray dog came to visit so we ended up going inside.
When we came inside and tried to take some more pics but as you can tell that didn't go as planned, either.
I gave her a Biter Bisquit last night to see if she'd like it and of course she did. Although I quickly learned that this would have to be a "clothes off" snack!

Here's another example of her army crawl. I'm pretty sure she could teach some of those Army guys some moves! Unfortunately, you will also get to witness her spitting up and see why our carpet is getting ruined now that she's moving everywhere. I talked to her doctor this week and we're going to try upping her medicine to 2 times a day and see if that helps. I just keep thinking that at least in a few short months she'll be eating mostly table food and less formula which will have to help...I hope!

Busy Family Weekend

Kaitlynn and I had a wonderful weekend full of family from Iowa. My Aunt Diane, Uncle Mark and my parents came to visit Ryan and Sarah and also to come see our house. On Saturday they all came over to our house for a while and then we drove over to Lee's Summit to look at some model homes. Mark and Diane are building a house and so it was a lot of fun to go get some new ideas for them! Matt was working so we met up with him for a little bit. Kaitlynn had never seen her daddy in his uniform so we took some cute pictures! After we stopped at Bass Pro Shop we all drove up to St. Joe to Ryan and Sarah's house to stay the night.

I must say that Matt and I have really lucked out with our little girls personality. She is just so laid back and content! We took her ALL over the place and in and out of the car all weekend and she never even fussed once. She only started crying one time when she was getting hungry. We feel very fortunate and I have a feeling that our next child just might be the opposite!!
She sure does love her Daddy
Checking out Daddy's patrol car. Hopefully the driver's seat is the only place she'll ever be in one of these!
Her first time smelling flowers
Talking to Grandpa after she ate her lunch at Bass Pro Shop

When we finally got back to Ryan and Sarah's house we knew Kaitlynn was tired of being cooped up in her car seat and being held all day long so we undressed her and let her scoot around for a while. She was thrilled as you can tell from the video! I thought we would have at least another month or two before we needed to put up baby gates but we actually need to be doing it SOON!Who is that cute girl??
A couple of notes on the video: You can tell that Aunt Sarah LOVES her thighs! Also the diaper she is chewing on is CLEAN!

For some reason she likes to carry around this bird with her mouth! She puts the little foot in her mouth and then scoots around. Maybe she's been watching Tucker a little too much??

Family Visit/New Tricks

Matt had to go out of town for some training earlier this week and so my parents came down to hang out for a couple of days. It was so nice to have some extra help and I know Kaitlynn loved playing with them too!

Here's Kaitlynn and Daddy right before he left.
Here she is showing you her new talent of crawling across whoever or whatever is in her way to get what she wants. This time it was Macee (dog). Most times it is the remote!
She had her Chiefs onesie on that day and they won. I wonder if that would have helped today??
Later that evening we sat on the deck for a while. Kaitlynn was so relaxed that she even started falling asleep in her bumbo seat!
As soon as we came inside she fell right over on my dad and couldn't keep her eyes open. We decided we better get ready for bed!

This morning we were waiting on Daddy to get up and so we had a little photo shoot. Enjoy...

Here she is towards the end of the photo shoot. You can tell that she is done with sitting there! You might not want to watch if you get nauseaus easily. I didn't realize that I was holding the camera vertical and wasn't too steady since I was trying to keep her from falling off the couch!

** 2 more videos of her sitting and rolling skills are at the end**

We are just so amazed at how much our little girl grows and changes every day. As you can tell from the video, she is scooting around everywhere. I'm not really sure why I put her on a blanket because she doesn't stay there anyway. In fact, yesterday I turned around to find her halfway under the bed in our guest room! Oops!

She has also made it through all of the vegetables and of course LOVED them all. Are we surprised!?! She had her first taste of applesauce tonight and seemed to like it, as well.

Our dear sweet girl has also learned how to make the raspberry sound with her lips and decided to show that off to everyone at Target this afternoon! Let the fun times begin!
