A baby's on the way!!!

We're so excited to announce that Kaitlynn is going to be a big sister in April! I'm due April 9th and we couldn't be more thrilled! We were surprised at how quickly we got pregnant, but very thankful at the same time. I am now 13 weeks and we've made it through the first trimester. Yeah! We've already had 3 ultrasounds and got to hear the heartbeat again with the doppler on Friday. It was in the 160's. Boy or girl??? We'll hopefully be finding out the answer to that question on November 8th when I have my next ultrasound.

I've unfortunately been MUCH sicker this time around than I was with Kaitlynn. I had about 3 weeks where I was nauseous for literally 24 hours a day without a break. It has slowly, but gradually gotten better and now I still feel yucky off and on but for the most part it's better. Thank goodness! It's definitely harder having a 2 year old running around but she's been saying the funniest things lately that it's helped to keep my spirits up!

Speaking of the big sister. She couldn't be more excited about having a baby brother or sister! She talks and sings to my stomach ALL time and even tries to share toys and clothes with the baby. She is all about her baby dolls and taking care of them so I know she's going to be a big help!

Telling Aunt Sarah and Uncle Ryan. I think they were surprised!! Their baby is due in December so the new cousins will only be about 3-4 months apart. That will be a lot of fun!
We're so lucky that Kaitlynn can spend time with both grandparent's at the same time! Matt couldn't come with us the weekend Kaitlynn and I shared the news. So we all went out to dinner to celebrate Ken and Jean's anniversary and Matt called while we were eating and shared the news on speaker phone. :)
Showing Grandma the proper way to hold a baby. She's a pro already!
Just a cute picture of her saying "cheese" last week (ignore the dirty face!)

We went to Jodi Arnold's wedding a few weeks ago and these were the only pictures I could get of her. She LOVED the cameras on the table, though!
Here's the latest diaper cake I made. A teacher at my school ordered it. I thought it turned out pretty cute!
Now that I have a little bit more energy I can hopefully do better at updating the blog. We'll be sure to update you on Baby Sewing in the coming weeks. :)
