We're Walking!

Last week Kaitlynn's Grammy and Great Aunt Julie came to stay for a few days while our babysitter was out of town. They did lots of shopping and Kaitlynn had a wonderful time playing with them! On Saturday we went to the Legend's to go shopping. We met up with Dana, Dan and Courtney and the girls ran around together for a while. We didn't get a lot of shopping done but they had a good time!
I love this picture!
Grandma and Grandpa Hardie got her this outfit for Christmas. It's still a little bit, but super cute! Those pants will eventually be capri's like they're supposed to be!
I didn't any picture of her and Courtney walking around but I did get one of her with Jean. It was SO windy that day!
Walking around in her new pink tennis shoes.
I love my Grammy!
The other night she was playing in the living room while Matt and I ate dinner. When I realized it had been quiet for a while I went to check on her. She had somehow gotten herself inside her tunnel which was wedged between the fireplace and the plant. She was working really hard trying to figure out how to get out of it, but once she saw us then she started crying. Of course I had to take time to grab the camera before I helped her out! Isn't that what any good mom would do?!?
Checking out the neighbors in her piggy pj's!

The last week our two Kaitlynn has really taken off with her walking. She still hasn't quite figured out how to stand up and walk without first pulling herself up on something but we're shocked at how steady she is getting with it already! She is also talking like crazy. Well...at least a couple of new words. We also noticed yesterday that she's already started to copy what we're saying. If she said the words out of context you would probably have no idea what she's saying but when she says it right after we do you can defnitely make out that is what she's attempting to say.

Some of her favorite words are:
mama
dada
Tucker
dog
woh (we hear this a lot!)
no no
no
down
wa er (water)
mik (milk)
done
Sarah (Aunt Sarah was pretty proud of this!)
oof (woof)
mo (more)
Oh wow

Here are some videos from the past couple of weeks. Enjoy!

Easter 2009

We were in the hospital on Easter last year. Kaitlynn was 2 days old and wore a yellow nightgown with a duck on it and slept most of the day. It's amazing how things change! Grammy and Grandpa Sewing went up too visit Annie and Jake this year so my family came to visit us. Ryan and Sarah came down from St. Joe on Saturday and Matt grilled out some delicious chicken. On Sunday we went to church and came home and ate left overs for lunch! Kaitlynn of course fell asleep on the way home from church so we didn't end up getting a family picture since we wanted to change out of our clothes. Although, we did get some cute ones of her after her nap while she played with her new toys.
So sweet!Happy Easter
Grandma Hardie gave me this basket at the hospital last year. It had some treats for my Mommy and Daddy!
Is my mom a teacher or what?? Letters for the bath tub...I can't even walk yet!
I'm not too sure about standing in these shoes.
They lasted about 5 seconds!
"Quack Quack"
Say Cheese!
"Lynnie" chillin' with Uncle Ryan (that's his nickname for her!)
Here are a couple of short videos of Lynnie playing with Uncle Ryan. I just can't get enough of that giggle!

Birthday Party

Thanks to Jean letting us borrow their USB cord I am now able to finally upload pictures and videos from the past month, including the big birthday party! I have a LOT of cute pictures and videos to put up here so it may take me a while. I'm going to do a few different posts as I go so make sure you check them all out!
Happy Birthday!
Waiting for her guests to arrive. Her and Asha passed the time with a few rounds of patty cake! She's getting pretty good at "rolling" that dough!

Opening her adorable dress that matches Courtney's!
She had lots of helpers!
Cake Time!

We tried to get a picture of the 4 girls in their party hats. You can see it went well. This was the best out of about 10 shots!
Tryin' on her new swimming gear.
It was beautiful out that evening after the party so we went for a little stroll in her new car. As you can see, the faster it goes the better she likes it!

The week before her birthday I made cupcakes for Kaitlynn to take to the babysitter. As you can see most of the kids started off touching the frosting and checked out the cupcake before delicately taking a few bites..
Not our daughter...
Thanks to everyone for helping us celebrate Kaitlynn's 1st birthday. It really is amazing how fast the time goes. I'm trying to enjoy every moment we have with her as she continues to grow into a little lady!

First smile caught on camera. Now we see that smile ALL day long!
