Christmas Program

Tonight we had Kaitlynn's very first preschool Christmas program.  There are all the kids from the two 3 year old classes.  She did such a good job!  I know the videos are all out of order, but I'm sure you'll enjoy anyway :)
This was the best smile I could get before we left the house :)

Saying their prayer before they started singing.  So sweet!

And Santa said..."No more elves jumping on the bed!"

That's her "best buddy" Faith next to her

Santa even came to visit.  She promised that she would leave him cookies and milk.  She also wanted to know why there were two Santa's.  She noticed that he looked different than the one at Bass Pro!!

Here's Kaitlynn's wonderful babysitter, Mary and her son, Isaac.  Him and Kaitlynn are good buddies!

Lots of family things!

Here is a video of Kaitlynn singing for us after Hayden's blessing last Sunday.  We had a luncheon for the family after church.  Our girls LOVES to sing and entertain!!
The Sewing clan.  We were so glad to have Annie and Abby in town!

Like Father, Like Son!

This was at the carnival at our church a few weeks ago.  We were blown away!  It was HUGE and COMPLETELY free!  We didn't even get to half of the stuff.  You could easily spend all 3 hours there.

Such a big girl!

They even had free horsey rides!

My parent's came to visit the weekend of my Dad's birthday so Ryan, Sarah and Kinley came for dinner to help us celebrate.  It was his big 60th!!!

Happy Birthday Grandpa.  I think Kaitlynn needs a few more clippies!

This was Kaitlynn's bear parade at preschool.  I was so excited to get my work schedule arranged so that I could come and surprise her.  Unfortunately, a woman (dressed as a bear) was the leader of the bear parade.  This freaked Kaitlynn out and after much coaxing from her teacher, she finally walked around the gym, but she hid her face and I had to hold her hand.  Seriously!

These pictures are all from this past weekend in Iowa, as well.  Abby is a great big cousin!

The girls attempting to do summersaults

The kids had their first slumber party at Grammy and Papa's house.  So cute!

We love this guy so much!

A little concert from the ladies at the church

Abby was a little jealous!!

1st day of preschool

Here are some pictures of our "little" guy who weighs almost 19 pounds at 5 months old!  We're having so much fun getting to know his little personality.  He's rolling EVERYWHERE and is working on sitting up by himself.  These pictures show him giving it a good try!

My 2 favorite kids!

2 weeks ago we had Kaitlynn's preschool orientation.  She's was so excited to go meet her teachers and...
take her school supplies!
We took her out to lunch after to celebrate and she of course picked "Chick-i-lay"  It's her favorite place to go when her and Daddy have "Daddy/Daughter Dates"!

That afternoon, Hayden and I headed up to Iowa for my Great Grandad's funeral.  He lived a long 102 years and was such a funny guy.
Grandpa and Hayden hanging out at the luncheon

Cousins Kinley and Hayden ate their lunch by each other for the first time.  It won't be long before they're running around playing together!
Kaitlynn was sick on her actual first day of school, but she didn't seem to remember which was a good thing :)  She actually got to go on Monday for the first time and she LOVED it!  They learned about their bodies and the 5 senses this week.  We picked out a couple of books to order from her book order and she proudly has the envelope waiting in her school bag to give to her teacher on Monday!  Next week they learn all about Dinosaurs.

She picked this special dress out when she stayed with my parent's one weekend this summer.  She's been saving it because it's her "school dress" and it spins a lot when she dances!

We're jumping, rolling, laughing and spitting!

I start my full week of school tomorrow so I thought I better get a quick update done before life gets crazy again!

The past couple of weeks Hayden has been rolling and scooting EVERYWHERE!  He's moving much earlier than his sister did.  She didn't even start army crawling until 6-7 months.  He can make it across the room fairly quickly at only 4 1/2 months.  Oh...did I mention he also weighs 18 pounds!  He's a solid "little" man but we just can't get enough of him.  He's started really giggling and even a full belly laugh sometimes!  We also started him on cereal and have added in fruits and veggies a little quicker than we were supposed to but he was screaming constantly for food and I don't want to keep giving him so much formula.  He obviously weighs enough!  He seems to be a lot more satisfied and happier now and is drinking much less formula which make this mama feel better!  He also discovered how to make the spitting sound.  Which cracks us up every time!  We don't really remember Kaitlynn doing this so it's funny how he's figured it out.  It makes eating time a messy situation.  :)  As I type this, I have dried peas completely splattered all over my shirt!

These pictures are a bit out of order.  Some of them are from his first time trying out rice cereal.  Big sister, Kaitlynn got to help, too!    The rest are from yesterday when he was eating sweet peas.  I also posted a video of his new messy trick.  Enjoy!

Last week I started back to work again.  Other than being exhausted, the transition has gone fairly smoothly.  We have, yet again another babysitter this year.  This will be #4 for poor Kaitlynn.  Thankfully she just goes with the flow!  She seems to be having a great time playing with kids again.  4 1/2 months was a little long for her with just mommy when she's used to playing all day long. She's been acting a little out of sorts at our house this week, but we're hoping it's just because she's adjusting to the new schedule and routines.  Not to mention her allergies are a mess again.  She gets to start preschool in two weeks and is SO excited about it!  We have her orientation next week and get to take all of her supplies up.  I can't wait to hear all about what she does.  It's only for 3 hours two mornings a week but I think it will be good for her.  Her little friend, Isaac (babysitter's son) will be in her class, as well.

Here she was sitting out on the deck blowing bubbles with her baby this evening...so cute!
