More house problems...

We can't believe it! Matt turned on the outside faucet yesterday afternoon when we got home from our lunch outing and he noticed that there wasn't much water pressure and that water was running along side of the house. Due to our experience with frozen pipes last winter, he quickly came downstairs and discovered a new place that had a slight drip of water coming from the ceiling. Unbelievable!

I guess good news is that we are prepared this time and have "people" to call. He called the same plumber that was here last year and he helped Matt over the phone to check to see if the water was still running or if it stopped once the faucet was turned off. Thankfully it was only leaking when the water outside was turned on so the plumber waited until this morning to come over to look at it.

Of course this is right on the wall that Lindsey and I spent so much time painting...uhh!!! The plumber said that we obviously have some serious cold air that is coming in somewhere because he had put extra insulation up last year. He is here right now and him and Matt are discussing police stuff and I don't think a whole lot of work has happened yet other than cutting a hole in the ceiling.

At this point it doesn't seem like there is much damage (at least compared to last time!) so we are thankful for that. We're REALLY hoping to not have to turn it into insurance because we had 3 claims last year and our payment just went up quite a bit. I guess we'll find out soon...
